At 2:51 on October 5, China used the Long March 4 C carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center to successfully launch the Gao Fen – 10 satellite. The satellite successfully entered the scheduled orbit and the mission was a complete success. A special birthday present for the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China!
The Gao Fen – 10 satellite was developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. and is a microwave remote sensing satellite with a large-scale national special science and technology arrangement for high-resolution Earth observation systems. The ground pixel resolution is up to the sub-meter level and is mainly used for national censuses. Urban planning, land confirmation, road network design, crop yield estimation and disaster prevention and mitigation can provide information security for national strategy implementation and national defense modernization construction such as “One Belt, One Road”.
The Long March 4C carrier rocket that carried out this launch mission was also developed by the Aerospace Science and Technology Group Eight Hospital.
This launch is the 314th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
