The AFT-10 anti-tank missile carrier is armed with HJ-10 missiles. The HJ-10 is essentially a scaled-down version of the Chinese CM-501G land attack missile. This missile is a Chinese clone of the Israeli Spike NLOS. It uses the same technology. The AFT-10 is only a third weight of the CM-501G. The range was reduced to 10 km. Minimum range of fire is 3 km.
The missile has an optical/imaging guidance system. It is a non-line of sight missile. It can lock on the target within the line of sight. Alternatively the operator locks on the target after the launch, using a real time image from the missile. Commands to the missile are transmitted via a two-way optical-fiber cable. The launcher vehicle has two consoles for the operators.
