China Aerospace Science and Industry (CASI) successfully launched a guided rocket into the center of typhoon Rainbow at 11 p.m. on Oct 3, 2015. The SY-400 rocket conducted real-time detection and collected data, including the structure and strength of the typhoon before its landing.
